Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City announces 2016 CelebrASIAN Award Winners

OVERLAND PARK, KAN. (Friday, Apr. 22, 2016)—The Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City (AACC) will be honoring the accomplishments of local Asian Americans in business, entrepreneurship, philanthropy and professional leadership at its 13th Annual CelebrASIAN Awards Gala.  This year’s awardees are:  Professional of the Year – Victor Zhang, American Century Investments, Entrepreneur of the Year – Erlinda Tjhai-Aydulun, MindLift, LLC, Civic Leader of the Year – Filipino Medical Mission, and Corporation of the Year – First National Bank.  Nominations were accepted from the community at large.

The AACC’s Gala will be held at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel located at 6100 College Boulevard, Overland Park, Kan. 66211 on Monday, May 9, 2016 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

This year’s keynote speaker is Juju Chang. Ms. Chang is an Emmy award-winning co-anchor for the ABC News show Nightline, and she also reports regularly for Good Morning America and 20/20. She received awards for team coverage of the California wildfires and for a 20/20 story on gender equality in the sciences.

 

Russell Welsh, Chairman and CEO of Polsinelli, will serve as honorary chair.
